Terms of Use

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By creating an account or using RideCrew, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

RideCrew is intended for users aged 16 and older. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this age requirement. This confirmation is self-declared — we have no independent way to verify your age — so it is an eligibility condition you agree to, not something we separately guarantee about every account on the service.

2. Description of the service

RideCrew provides, among other things:

• Automatic and manual recording of your driving trips (route, speed, distance, duration).
• Alerts about speed cameras near your route, sourced from community map data (OpenStreetMap).
• Social features: friends, a leaderboard, crews, one-on-one duels, shared trip reactions, and map "spots."
• Optional paid features ("PRO"), described in Subscriptions below.

RideCrew is an informational tool. It is not a certified navigation, safety, or law-enforcement-avoidance device, and it does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any camera location, speed limit, or other road data it displays.

3. Safe driving — read this

RideCrew's leaderboard and statistics features reflect what you actually recorded — they are not a suggestion or a target. If any part of the app's presentation ever reads to you as encouraging unsafe driving, please tell us; we take this seriously and treat it as a defect to fix, not a feature to defend.

4. Camera data accuracy

Speed camera locations shown in RideCrew come from a community-maintained, publicly available map data source (OpenStreetMap), refreshed periodically. This data can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate — cameras may exist that aren't shown, and cameras may be shown that no longer exist or were never active. Do not rely on RideCrew as your sole means of complying with speed limits or traffic law — you remain responsible for observing posted signage and the actual law regardless of what the app does or doesn't show you.

5. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information (in particular, your birth date if you choose to provide one, and your age confirmation at registration).
• You may delete your account at any time via Settings, or by contacting us — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what that does to your data.

6. User content & conduct

RideCrew lets you post certain content visible to other users: your username, avatar, map "spots" (name, description, photo), and reactions on friends' trips. By posting any of this, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us the license needed to store and display it back to you and the other users you've chosen to share it with (friends, or anyone you tag).

You agree not to use RideCrew to:

• Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that impersonates another person or entity;
• Post spam, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what applicable law expressly permits;
• Use the app in a way that could endanger yourself or others while driving.

RideCrew has a real, in-app reporting and blocking system. If you see content or behavior that violates these rules, report it directly from the relevant profile, spot, or trip. We review reports and may, at our discretion, remove content, restrict a feature, or suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.

7. Subscriptions

RideCrew offers optional paid "PRO" features (for example, extended camera-alert distance, unlimited trip history/friends/spots, and cosmetic customization) on top of a free tier.

• Paid subscriptions, once available, are billed and processed entirely through Apple's App Store, under Apple's own terms — we never receive or store your payment card details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings — not inside RideCrew, since Apple manages the billing relationship directly.
• Deleting your RideCrew account does not cancel an active App Store subscription — you must cancel it separately through Apple.
• Refunds are handled entirely according to Apple's own refund policy; we cannot issue refunds directly.
• We may change which features are free vs. PRO, or the price of a subscription, with reasonable notice; changes do not apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

8. Intellectual property

RideCrew's app, design, and underlying software are our (or our licensors') property, protected by applicable intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended personal purpose. You retain ownership of the content you create (trip data, spot descriptions, photos you upload), subject to the license you grant us above to operate the service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

RideCrew is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any camera or map data will be accurate or up to date.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of — or inability to use — RideCrew, including any damages related to a traffic incident, fine, or accident. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your use of RideCrew, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the courts of Ukraine in accordance with applicable law at the Operator's place of registration. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

13. Apple-specific terms

These terms apply if you downloaded RideCrew from the Apple App Store, in addition to everything above:

• These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple — Apple is not a party to this agreement.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for RideCrew.
• In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) — to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any of your claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
• Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use RideCrew after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
